Kitchener structure fire extinguished with no reported injuries

Members from the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit continue to investigate following an evening structure fire in Kitchener.
According to police, that blaze occurred on Friday shortly before 10:00 p.m. in the area of Forwell Road and Centennial Road. Both regional police and emergency services responded to reports of a structure fire in an abandoned lot in that area.
Kitchener Fire were able to attend and extinguish the fire, noting the blaze was “fully involved,” resulting in the structure being demolished.
There were no physical injuries reported as a result of that blaze.
Anyone with information regarding the structure fire is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
