UW, Laurier to host in-person convocation ceremonies

By Erin Anderson

University students will be able to celebrate their achievements with their classmates in-person this year.

Both Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo will be hosting in-person convocation ceremonies.

UW said its 2022 ceremonies will take place in the spring, while Laurier will hold graduations in-person in June.

Alumni who weren't able to attend in-person convocations in 2020 and 2021 will also be given an opportunity to do so.

Laurier will be hosting make-up ceremonies in Brantford on April 20, and in Waterloo between April 27 and April 29. More details can be found here

The university said guests and graduates will have to comply with its mandatory vaccination and face-covering policies, as well as visitor safety protocols.

UW will be hosting 2020 convocation celebrations on June 11, and for the class of 2021 on June 12. Registration will be required for all of the UW ceremonies, and that will be available in early May. There will also be a limit of two-guests per graduate. You can learn more by clicking here
