Conestoga College to start winter semester online

With COVID cases on the rise, Conestoga College has also announced it will start its winter semester online.

The update, from president John Tibbits, was posted on the college's website on Friday afternoon.

“The safety and well-being of our college community remains Conestoga’s highest priority.” and for that reason, Tibbits said only essential learning activities and services will happen on-campus, when the semester begins on January 3, 2021.

For the period of Jan. 3 until Jan 30, students and employees will learn and work remotely where it is possible to do so.

The University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University announced similar plans on Thursday.
