Blackbridge Road in Cambridge closed for bridge repairs after collision

Regional police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision Thursday evening.

It happened in the Blackbridge Road area of Cambridge, between Townline Road and Baldwin Drive.

Police said they responded around 9 p.m. to reports that a transport truck had struck the bridge.

The impact of the collision caused structural damage to the bridge, so the road has been closed until repairs are completed.

There is no timeline for when that will reopen.
