It happened late Saturday evening, in the area of Shepherd Avenue and Queen Street West.

According to police, a vehicle allegedly travelling upwards of 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone struck a parked car. That launched the car off the road and into a residential fence.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and possession of suspected cocaine.

Police also point out that four other drivers were charged with impaired-related offences over the weekend.
