WRPS officer charged with breaching probation

Waterloo Regional Police have announced that one of their officers has been charged.
The 21-year member was convicted on several charges back in 2019, including assault with a weapon.
On Thursday afternoon, the individual was arrested in connection with an investigation by the London Police Service.
Police said it was for allegedly breaching a probation term.
The officer is not being named to protect the victim's identity. They are currently suspended without pay.
A 21-year-member of WRPS has been charged with one count of Breach of Probation following an investigation by @lpsmediaoffice.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on May 27, 2021.
