Waterloo Regional Police have announced that one of their officers has been charged.

The 21-year member was convicted on several charges back in 2019, including assault with a weapon.

On Thursday afternoon, the individual was arrested in connection with an investigation by the London Police Service.

Police said it was for allegedly breaching a probation term.

The officer is not being named to protect the victim's identity. They are currently suspended without pay.
