Lane swimming and water fit classes reopening at Waterloo Swimplex

The City of Waterloo says lane swimming and water fit classes will resume at the Waterloo Swimplex.
Starting Monday, the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex will operate both activities on limited capacity and times. Registration for lane swimming and water fit classes begin on Sunday. After that, interested residents must register within 48 hours before the start of the program. To register, go to ActiveWaterloo.
While these programs will reopen, the city says public swimming and the swirl pool at the Swimplex are still not available.
The city adds there are also new procedures in place to open lane swimming and water fit classes in a safe and responsible way for all participants and staff. Some changes include a separate entrance and exit, and no access to lockers or changerooms.
