National axe throwing competition coming to Waterloo

Canada's best axe throwers will compete in Waterloo this spring.

Bad Axe Throwing is getting set to host the 2020 Canadian Open (World Axe Throwing League) from April 24-26.

The tournament will feature two brand new televised axe throwing disciplines. Duals Competition (Teams of two people, on one target) and Big Axe Competition (Axes larger than 23″).

Spectator admission will be free for the entire weekend.

Organizers also expect it will be the largest televised axe throwing tournament ever hosted in Canada at 128 participants.
