Waterloo Region ranked 100th most dangerous place in Canada

Waterloo Region has been ranked the 100th most dangerous place in Canada according to a report by MacLean's.
The report uses data from Statistics Canada that considers police-reported crime from 2018.
Violent crime was up, including the rate of homocides, assaults, sexual assaults, and gun crime.
Theft and property crime also increased, including fraud and robbery.
Cocaine trafficking also increased, while cannabis and other controlled drug trafficking decreased.
Youth crime and impaired driving were also down in the region.
