Young male facing child porn charges

During April 2019, Waterloo Regional Police received complaints from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre regarding a person uploading child pornography. 

As a result, investigators from the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit commenced an investigation. 

In September 2019, members of the Service executed a search warrant at a residence in Kitchener. 

As a result of the investigation, a male young person was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography x 2, Making Child Pornography Available, Making Child Pornography, and Voyeurism. 

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.
