Cambridge man facing charges after OPP seize steroids during RIDE program

On August 22, 2019 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Gore Road near Cambridge. At approximately 11:00 p.m. the driver of a brown pickup truck entered the R.I.D.E. check. 

While speaking with the driver, officers observed a quantity of illicit drugs. Investigation revealed that that the driver was in possession of illegally obtained Schedule IV Substance, anabolic steroids. 

As a result, a 31-year-old man from Cambridge has been charged with Illegally Obtaining a Schedule IV substance and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on September 27, 2019.
