Police say charges pending in Cambridge crash

On June 25, 2019, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of Can Amera Parkway and Burnett Avenue in Cambridge. 

A Chevrolet pickup truck was travelling east on Can Amera Parkway when it collided with a Black Toyota. 

The Toyota was attempting a left turn from Can Amera Parkway onto Burnett Avenue. 

The impact forced the pickup truck to strike a third vehicle. 

The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old Cambridge male, and his passenger, a 17-year-old Cambridge male, were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

No one else suffered injuries. 

The intersection was closed for several hours while police investigated. 

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic unit at 519-570-9777 ext. 8856.
