Bobby O'Brien's Irish Pub is hosting its own prehistoric park for Raptors fans throughout the finals.
The event will have games, prizes and as close to the experience of Toronto's Jurassic Park that fans could want.
Kathy McGrath, a manager at Bobby's says she's been amazed by the support they've already witnessed.
“Typically we're more of hockey bar, but it's been great to see all the support from basketball fans. The phone has been ringing non-stop with people trying to get a seat for tonight's game.”
Unfortunately for those fans calling in the local Jurassic Park will be using a first come first served policy and McGrath says she expects it to be full by the 9:00 p.m. tip-off.
The event is open to all ages and is free of charge.
Bobby's will be setting up their fan zone for every game for the NBA Finals and although it's good for business McGrath says she wouldn't mind a Raptors sweep.
“For the establishment, seven games would be best, but for the sake of my heart I hope the Raptors take it in four.”
She adds that it will be a great event for the community to come together and show just how much fun downtown Kitchener can be.
