Power restored in Chicopee area (update)

***Power was back on just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday***

Power is out for 4,500 customers in the River and Old Chicopee Road area of Kitchener.

Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro says it is due to an equipment issue.

They are hoping to have power restored by 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Remember to treat traffic signals in the area as a four way stop.
