The Kitchener Public Library has released its community report for 2018.
KPL has over 160,000 members, with 15,000 of those being new members last year.
Waterloo Region is home to some very generous volunteers.
The libraries' helpers donated 11,000 hours of their time.
There were 2.9 million in-person and online library visits and a total of 2.3 million check-outs, with 1,700 of those being musical instruments.
The library also teamed up with Laurier Music to present a series of free mini-concerts this past fall.
Another exciting addition to the library this year will include audio studios so our community can explore podcasting, or even creating and recording music.
All of these tools will help to foster digital literacy and inclusion in Waterloo Region.
