Highway 407 tolls, fees rise Friday

Drivers who take Highway 407 will have to pay more starting on Friday.
According to the 407 ETR website, all zones are going up — some as much as 14 per cent compared to last year’s rates.
The annual lease fee for a transponder is also increasing by $1, to $24.50.
The camera charge for people without a transponder is also going up five cents, to $4.20.
The 407 ETR said the hikes follow a year of “major investment” in the toll highway.
