A Kitchener man will spend six years in prison in connection with a human trafficking investigation.
On Wednesday, a judge in Newmarket found Christian Crosdale, 33, guilty of 14 offences, including human trafficking of a youth victim.
York Regional Police launched an investigation in March 2017 into a youth victim who had been forced to work in the sex trade.
“We are hopeful that this significant prison sentence reminds criminals who seek to victimize vulnerable members of our community are held accountable for their actions.” York Regional Police Chief Eric Jolliffe, said in a release.
“We want to encourage anyone who has been a victim to reach out to us for help.” he added.
