Cyclist charged after crash at Guelph intersection

Police say a cyclist has been charged after a crash at a busy intersection in Guelph.
Guelph Police say it happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday at Gordon and College Avenue.
A Dodge pickup truck was headed southbound on Gordon, and attempted to make a left turn onto College.
It’s alleged that a cyclist headed northbound across College sped through the crosswalk, and was ultimately struck by the Dodge Ram.
The 20-year-old was thrown off his bike, and landed right on the roadway.
He was taken to Guelph General to be treated for a minor arm and head injury.
Police say he’s been charged with riding a bike within a crosswalk.
