Talks are back on but going slowly between CAMI union and GM

Talks resumed today between General Motors and the union representing about 25-hundred striking workers at the CAMI assembly plant in Ingersoll.
But President of UNIFOR Local 88, Dan Borthwick, tells 570 NEWS it’s been going very slowly.
He says the two sides met this morning, starting at 8:00, but the union is still waiting on GM to respond on the issue of designating CAMI as the lead plant for making the Chevy Equinox.
Borthwick says today’s talks were mostly about contract language.
But he says for as long as that takes, “we’ll be waiting.”
Borthwick says talks are scheduled to continue all week, and he thanks the people of Ingersoll for their patience and support.
