The Toronto-bound QEW will be closed for several hours at the Burlington Skyway due to a multi-vehicle crash.
The OPP said it happened around 6 a.m. on Monday.
Five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a motorcycle.
“There’s a massive debris field all across the highway. A lot of work to be done right now,” OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said. “We’re still trying to put together the sequence of the events.”
Police said the rider of the motorcycle, a 51-year-old Hamilton woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All traffic is being rerouted to Eastport Drive.
