One dead, one missing after small plane crash near Lake Huron

Huron County OPP say one person has died, and another is missing after a small airplane crashed near Lake Huron.
OPP got the call after 8 p.m. Wednesday, when they received reports that a small plane was flying in distress close to the Goderich Municipal Airport.
In response to the call, a ground, air and water search started with the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.
Around 2:30 Thursday morning, OPP say officers located pieces of the plane, and a woman floating nearby.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is currently ongoing as emergency crews continue to search the area, and are looking for the second occupant of the airplane.
No names have been released.
