Fire crews in Wellington County are still dousing hot spots with an aerial pumper, after an early morning fire gutted two homes at the Mini Lakes camping community in Puslinch.
The fire broke out on Wellington Road 34, near Aberfoyle, around 3:30 a.m.
Police say at least six mobile homes were hit by the blaze, two completely destroyed.
Wellington County Victim Services is assisting displaced residents.
One man suffered minor injuries, and has since been treated in hospital, but luckily all of the other homeowners were evacuated. One resident spotted the fire and started banging on doors, and many other residents joined in to help alert everyone.
There’s no current damage estimate, and fire crews are expected to be on the scene for the next several hours.
OPP, Puslinch Fire and Rescue, and the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating, however the fire is not considered suspicious at this time.
