Charges laid, second suspect sought in Woodbridge cafe explosion

A 33-year-old man faces several charges in connection with a cafe explosion in Vaughan.

York regional police were called to Cafe Corretto on Winges Road near Highway 7 and Weston Road just before 5:30 a.m. on June 29.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the cafe in a partial state of collapse. They also confirmed that an explosion occurred.

A man was located nearby suffering non-life threatening injuries. He was arrested and taken to hospital.

Investigators believe a second suspect is also involved in the incident.
