Pet owners warned after poison-filled pepperoni stick found in Norfolk County

Norfolk County OPP are warning pet owners to use caution after a poison-filled pepperoni stick was found in Townsend.

Police say a homeowner was walking their family dog down Church Road on Wednesday morning, when the animal picked up something from the grass on their property.

The owner immediately checked to see what it was — and found that it was a hollowed out pepperoni stick, with poison stuffed inside.
