A Niagara Falls woman whose son was killed while fighting against Islamic State militants in northern Syria says his body could be flown back to Canada as early as this weekend.
Tina Martino says she has also received an autopsy report that concluded her 24-year-old son died from a blow to the head, not a gunshot wound as she had previously been told.
Nazzareno Tassone was killed in December while fighting militants after telling his family that he was going to Iraq to teach English.
