ION work in Uptown Waterloo postponed

The recent snowfall has led to the rescheduling of LRT construction in Uptown Waterloo.

Construction at the King/Allen intersection will now begin on March 20.

From then until March 25th, King between William and John (including the intersection of King and Allen) will be closed and southbound traffic onto King, from William will be restricted to local traffic only.

The following week, Grandlinq’s plan to work at the King/William intersection will begin (March 27th).

This will have King, between William and Allen closed for five days (including the intersection of King/William). It will also restrict southbound traffic on King, from Willis Way to local traffic only.

Both areas are currently open to traffic.

Grandlinq says the work is related to underground utility construction and includes minor repairs.
