There will be three short-term closures taking place in uptown Waterloo, and the first phase starts Monday.
Those closures are the section of King between Erb and William and King at Willis Way in order to complete minor repairs and underground utility work.
The second phase is expected to take place this Thursday March 9th with King closing between William and Allen and the final phase starting on Monday March 13th with the closure of King between William and John.
Grandlinq says the closures will be in place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. with all the work wrapping up in about three weeks.
Detours will be in place around the closures with plenty of access to businesses.
