SIU investigating arrest made at Oktoberfest

The province’s police watchdog is investigating an arrest by Regional Police made during Oktoberfest.

On Sunday, October 9th, police arrested a 43-year-old man at Queensmount Arena (also known as Altes Muenchen Haus) on 1260 Queen’s Blvd in Kitchener at around 10:30pm.

The Special Investigations Unit says the man was “diagnosed with serious injury” after he was released from custody.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the SIU at 1-800-787-8529 ext. 2314.

Three investigators and one forensic investigator are working on this case.
