VOTE: WRPS Name the Canine contest

Regional Police have two new four-legged recruits and they need our help naming them.

The Name the Canine contest is now open to the public.

Over 60 names were submitted by local elementary and high school students.

Cherri Greeno with Regional Police says that after one day of opening the votes to the public, they have already received 540 votes.

The top three names for the black German Shepard are: Grim, Leo, and Kole and for the brown German Shepard: Max, Tracker, Rex.

The winning names will be chosen on Monday October 17th.
