Kitchener man faces charges for murder of Quebec man

A Kitchener man has been arrested and faces a murder charge in connection to a death in Laval, Quebec.

Laval Police Service took Mitchell Cousins into custody Tuesday evening.

Police say the 29-year-old is connected to the shooting death of 22-year-old Ferdinando Belmonte who was killed in Laval on June 28th.

Cousins is originally from Kitchener but Police say they believe he recently located to the Montreal area.

Working alongside Waterloo Regional Police, officers searched Cousins’ home and have interviewed dozens of witnesses in both Kitchener and Laval.
