A little bit of kindness couldn’t hurt.
That from a Kitchener man who wants us to show appreciation for the men and women building Waterloo Region’s LRT.
Some of those workers have had to deal with verbal abuse from the public.
“Just seems on the face of it…these guys are out making my day awful or harder. The reality is they’re out there doing it to try and make Kitchener-Waterloo a much better place for everyone.”
Iain Hendry tells 570 News.
Hendry has been a big fan of trains ever since he was a kid.
“We’re a big little city, becoming a little big city and this is definitely the step that is taking us there.” adds Hendry.
He doesn’t think we need a “Hug an LRT worker Day”, but adds a wave, smile or thank you, could go along way for those working on the LRT.
