Liberals consider reopening prison farms shut down by Conservatives

The new Liberal government in Ottawa is looking at the possibility of reopening prison farms closed by the previous Conservative government in 2010.

The farms put inmates to work doing agricultural tasks including feeding animals, cleaning barns and operating machinery.

The government is specifically looking at two such farms in the Kingston, Ontario area.

A town hall is planned there to allow the locals to share their thoughts.
