LRT construction getting winter help with large heated dome

Earlier today construction began on a large heated dome on King Street in Kitchener to help aid LRT construction.
According to GrandLinq, the company contracted to build the LRT, the dome will allow work to continue in that area without weather delays.
The dome will cover an important part of the light rail system including a new bridge and the replacement of existing rail tracks.
According to Lauren McGirr, a community relations representative with GrandLinq says this specific area of King Street is a bit behind schedule, but the dome should make up for lost time..
“It’s a little delayed in area, but we expect with the instillation of the dome that we will be on track.” Said McGirr.
The dome is expected to take four weeks to build. When the dome is finished it will be 75 Meters in length and covering the existing rail tracks on King Street.
