Kitchener Rangers face rival Knights

It’s rivalry night, so to speak, for your Kitchener Rangers.
They’re in London tonight to face the Knights. You can listen to the game on 570 News at 6:35 p.m. with Mike Farwell and Mike Torchia.
It’s a match-up of the OHL’s top offensive and defensive teams. The Rangers have only allowed 70 goals against in 30 games. They’ll be without, arguably, their top defender in goaltender Luke Opilka. He’s yet to join the US World Junior Selection Camp because of the flu. Ryan MacInnis and Dmitrii Sergeev are also gone.
The Knights, who have scored 162 goals in 30 games, are missing a couple of their top guns in Mitchell Marner, Christian Dvorak, Tyler Parsons, and Matt Tkachuk, who are all gone to camps.
It’s a match-up of two of the Top-5 ranked teams in the latest BMO CHL Top-10 Rankings. The third-ranked Rangers are leading the fifth-ranked Knights by two points in the standings.
Both have played 30 games, with only seven losses. The Rangers wrap up their schedule before the Christmas break on Friday at home against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
