Spits snap Kitchener’s winning streak

The Kitchener Rangers saw their five game winning streak snapped in Windsor on Sunday afternoon. The Rangers
picked up a point, but fell 4-3 in overtime to the Spitfires.
Jalen Chatfield scored the winner at 3:26 of the extra frame. Windsor also becomes just the second team to defeat the Rangers twice this season, their other victory coming in OT as well.
Ryan MacInnis notched his 20th goal of the season extending his point streak to 13 games. Other Kitchener goals came from Darby Llewellyn and Gustaf Franzen.
Shots were even at 30 and the Rangers were 1 for 4 on the power play.
“…We did make it a game and you know we got it to overtime, just couldn’t find a way to close it out.” said Rangers Head Coach Mike Van Ryn on the post-game show on 570 News.
“…We came out flat to start the game. We had a good bounce back to start the second, it’s tough to lose a game 3 on 3.”
added Llewellyn.
