Man arrested in suspicious package investigation in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are shedding more light on an incident that triggered a large police presence in a Kitchener neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to the Queens/Belmont area after receiving reports of a man trying to break into homes and vehicles.
Police say the man also allegedly told some residents he was carrying a bomb.
After about a half hour search, an arrest was made.
The device was deemed to be inactive by the bomb disposal unit.
A 28-year-old Kitchener man faces a number of charges, including robbery, uttering threats and possession of a dangerous weapon.
