Inmate serving time for first degree murder dies at Millhaven Institution

BATH, Ont. – An inmate at the Correctional Service of Canada’s Regional Treatment Centre, west of Kingston has died.
Millhaven Institution acting assistant warden Jackie Edwards says 62-year-old John Hogg passed away at the hospital in the prison, near Bath, on Saturday.
He had been transferred there from the treatment centre, also at Millhaven.
Hogg had been serving an indeterminate sentence since Nov. 27, 2002 for first-degree murder.
The police and the coroner have also been notified, and the Correctional Service will review the circumstances of Hogg’s death.
