An investigation is expected to begin today after fire broke out at an LRT construction site in north Waterloo.
The blaze, at the operations, maintenance and storage facility being built on Dutton Drive, sent a plume of thick smoke into the air around 5pm on Monday.
It’s believed to have been contained to the roof area.
At one point, a shelter was set up for area businesses and residents due to concerns about the smoke.
They were also told to stay indoors and keep their windows closed.
No one was hurt and no damage figure is available.
