What’s Going On This Weekend!

October has arrived – and that means Oktoberfest, Thanksgiving, Halloween and a wholla entertainment in the Region this month!
While the official Keg Tapping to symbolize the kick-off to the festival doesn’t happen until *next* weekend, Oktoberfest events have already begun rolling out the barrel. Opening tomorrow night is the brand new Uber Haus. Located at Maxwell’s Concert and Events in Waterloo, the venue says they’ve designed a new pastry for patrons to feast on in addition to the rock and traditional polka music audiences will get to hear.
Other notable Oktoberfest events this weekend include the Miss Oktoberfest Gala Ball tomorrow night, Oktoberlicious continues at participating restaurants in the Region and the Annual Treasure Chest hunt is now on.
More musical events happening tomorrow night include “The Lady in Red” crooner Chris de Burgh and His Band taking the stage at Kitchener’s Centre in the Square and Waterloo’s own Craig Cardiff makes a return home to the University of Waterloo Bombshelter. The travelling troubadour heads to Guelph, Mississauga and London over the next few days.
