Waterloo Regional Police are beefing up patrols in the Stanley Park area after a series of vehicle break-ins and vandalism attacks took place Friday.
Police responded to complaints early Saturday morning at an underground parking garage on McGee avenue in Kitchener. Over 20 vehicles were entered and damaged sometime overnight, most of which had smashed windows.
There were also reports of other smashed windows in the neighbourhood, including some at Crestview Public School and a local business in the area.
Waterloo Regional Police are reminding all residents to use caution and not leave valuables in the car. They are also urging apartment building tenants to keep an eye out for anyone tailgating into the building or attempting to enter a parking garage.
