If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes at a horse racing track, today’s your chance.
Grand River Raceway is hosting its seventh annual Backstretch Open House.
You’ll get a complete tour of the track’s four main stations, you can position yourself in the judges’ stand and the announcer’s booth.
You can learn the basics when it comes to breeding, owning, training, driving and caring for racehorses.
There is also a barbecue lunch.
It runs from 11 a.m. to two this afternoon at the track in Elora.
