Guelph man charged for stealing garden gnomes

A 42-year-old Guelph man has been charged for stealing a number of garden gnomes.
Police say on Monday morning they received a call about a man allegedly stealing garden solar lights.
Soon after, police say they stopped a man who had several solar lights and garden gnomes on him.
Guelph Police say some of the items have been returned, but they are looking to reunite a few gnomes with their owners.
He says the owners might not know they are missing their gnomes.
Mark Leitch of Guelph, has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
He will be appearing in court July 7th.
