Cambridge Memorial Hospital cancelled all surgeries and surgical procedures today due to a water main break.
It happened around 6:30am at the back of the hospital.
Almost 100 surgeries and procedures had to be cancelled, but surgeries for Monday will go ahead as planned.
The hospital has been able to restore water and repairs to the watermain are underway.
“I want to thank our staff for stepping up and helping us through this incident. I also want to recognize our regional partner hospitals for helping us out at a moment’s notice. It goes to show how a strong Incident Management System can help us work through any crisis, big or small,” says Patrick Gaskin, president and CEO.
