11:00 – Cambridge Parking

Parking in Cambridge could become much easier starting this week. Council will receive a motion that would scrap the current by-law that bans overnight parking on city streets. As of now vehicles may not be parked on any street between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. The city did a test run last year allowing overnight parking and it was well received.
11:30 – Ember Doll
Katie Nielsen, Kitchener entrepreneur & creator, Ember doll
A Kitchener entrepreneur is looking to raise $215,000 on the crowd funding website Indiegogo for her adventure doll. Katie Nielsen says she hopes the doll will battle the negative influence of other dolls available on the market today. She says Barbie like dolls mislead girls and create the impression that fashion sense and body type are a woman’s value. Nielsen spent two years developing the doll.
