A Guelph family has taken their complaint to the next level – and has filed with the Ontario human rights tribunal. Their four year old daughter, Eloise has cerebral palsy and has to wear supportive braces wither her shoes. Matthew and Tracy Dupuis say they have been to Funmazing play centre several times before and it was never an issue to use the indoor jungle gym. However, over the weekend, Matthew was told that his daughter was NOT allowed to wear her special shoes on the structure, and that previous time had been a ‘mistake.’ The business has since issued an apology.

A new digital job search tool called Magnet is changing how Ontario youth engage with potential employers. Students build their profile by uploading their resume or LinkedIn profile. Magnet then cross-references the profile with job postings and instantly provides the job candidate with a list of specific job postings that match their skills, qualifications and preferences. Companies who post jobs are also provided with a pre-screened list of candidates who meet their skill requirements.
