12:00 – Flipped boat
Dennis Graham, Kingsville resident
In Studio: Hayley Zimak, Midday show producer, 570 News
It was a wild ride for a Kingsville couple in Florida – after passengers were thrown from an airboat during a tour earlier this month. Dennis Graham, his wife, Beth and their friends went air boating through the swamps. Due to the wake of another boat…theirs rolled – right into the water with snakes and alligators! Another couple they were with suffered a cut/damaged liver, internal bleeding and needed surgery, as well as 3 cracked ribs. Beth needed a cat scan on her head and an X-ray on her neck and Dennis ended up with a huge hematoma on his right arm. After spending hours in the hospital (in their wet clothes)…they were finally on their way home – when Beth realized they had left her purses on the back of a wheelchair – keys, cash, credit cards…and their passports. After finding the right hospital (there were two across the road from each other) they were on their way home with cuts and bruises.
