Canadian author Christina Crook examines the impact that technology has taken on society and how we can create a balance between the wired and the real in our lives. Our gadgets are constantly in hand and turned on. We can’t go long without checking our phone, surfing the net, texting, Tweeting, or updating our “status. If you’re like most, the phone is the first thing you grab when they wake up, and the last thing you check at night. These gadgets dominate our lives, affect our work, impact our intimacy and shift our thinking. As an experiment, Christina did the unthinkable – she turned off all her gadgets for one month and joins us now to share her experience.
