With advancing technology today, it seems that everyone has access to a camera. Whether within their smartphone or tablet, the convenience and ease of taking a photograph is no longer reserved to professionals or hobbyists. FLASH is a celebration of photography, bringing aspiring and professional photographers together in Waterloo Region. The inaugural sold out event is happening Jan. 23 at the Tannery Event Centre, with guest headliner Barbara Davidson, three featured photographers Mina Ao, Karl Griffiths-Fulton and Andrew Wright. Anthony and the FLASH team put an open call out to the region encouraging citizens to submit a photo to be digitally displayed on the Tannery walls using Christie Digital technology, and received over 300 submissions. A great example of mixing arts and technology in the region.
