Young man assaulted near the University of Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a man was assaulted on Ring rd by the University of the Waterloo.

Around 10:00 PM last night the victim was hit in the face by two suspects who then robbed him.

The man suffered minor injuries. Police say the two suspects were dressed in dark clothing, wearing balaclavas.

Police are reminding students and pedestrians to be extra cautious at night and to travel on well lit pathways.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police or crime stoppers.
