Guelph man, struck and killed by GO train

A 33-year-old Guelph man is dead after being struck by a GO train.

It happened Thursday around 6:30pm near Silvercreek Parkway and Alma Street, the train was heading westbound.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also tell us a post-mortem will be done sometime today in Hamilton.
